Terms and conditions for using the DIGIPIN API services

Important Notice

This license governs your use of the DIGIPIN API. By accessing or using the API, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

API: The DIGIPIN Application Programming Interface provided by DIGIPIN ENCODER.

API Key: A unique authentication key provided to authorized users for accessing the API.

Developer: Any individual or entity that registers for and uses the API.

Application: Any software, website, or service that integrates with the DIGIPIN API.

2. License Grant

Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, DIGIPIN ENCODER grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

Access and use the API for the duration of your subscription

Integrate the API into your applications according to usage limits

Display DIGIPIN data in your applications

Process geocoding requests within the specified limits

3. Usage Restrictions

You agree not to:

Exceed the API request limits specified in your subscription plan

Share, sell, or distribute your API key to third parties

Use the API for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover the source code

Use the API to build competitive services

Cache or store DIGIPIN data for more than 24 hours

4. API Key Security

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your API key confidential and secure
  • Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use
  • Implementing appropriate security measures
  • Rotating API keys periodically

5. Rate Limits and Quotas

6. Data Accuracy and Warranty

While we strive to maintain high accuracy in geocoding, we provide no warranties regarding:

  • 100% accuracy of all DIGIPIN codes
  • Uninterrupted availability of the API
  • Error-free operation under all conditions
Accuracy Notice

DIGIPIN provides location accuracy within approximately 5 meters in diameter. Actual accuracy may vary based on location and other factors.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the API and DIGIPIN system remain with DIGIPIN ENCODER. You retain ownership of your applications but agree not to infringe on our intellectual property rights.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

You agree to:

  • Comply with applicable privacy laws
  • Protect user data processed through the API
  • Not use the API for tracking individuals without consent

9. Termination

We may terminate your API access immediately if you:

  • Breach any term of this license
  • Exceed usage limits repeatedly
  • Use the API for prohibited purposes
  • Fail to pay required fees

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DIGIPIN ENCODER shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the API.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold DIGIPIN ENCODER harmless from any claims arising from your use of the API or violation of these terms.

12. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the API constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
